Weapon (rapier), legendary

You have a +2 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon.

The wielder of Thorn gains a bonus of +2 to attack and damage rolls while using this weapon in combat.

Greenflame Blade : While wielding Thorn, one may cast Greenflame Blade on the rapier as a free action. This power rises in damage potential equal to the wielder of the blade. This power recharges following either a short or long rest.

Dark Cleave : While wielding Thorn, when you reduce a creature to 0 hit points, you can immediately make an attack against another creature within reach with Thorn as a bonus action. Before making the extra attack, you can choose to either use the previous attack roll, or make a new one. This power recharges following either a short or a long rest.

Memory and Thorn : Thorn stores spells cast into it, holding them until the attuned wielder uses them. The blade can store up to five (5) levels worth of spells at a time. Any creature may cast a spell of levels 1-5 into the blade, by touching it as they cast the spell. The spell has no effect, other than to be stored in the blade. If it cannot hold the spell, the spell is expended without effect. The level of the slot used to cast the spell determines how much space it uses.

While wielding and attuned to Thorn, you may cast any spell stored within it. The spell uses the slot level, spell save DC, spell attack bonus, and spellcasting ability of the original caster, but is otherwise treated as if you had cast the spell. The spell cast from the blade is no longer stored within, freeing the space.

Bio:

Made in the forgotten forges of some deep drow city, Thorn is rumored to be the remnant of this fallen realm, and holds many curious powers related to its creation, including various legendary spell-like powers. Why it was named Thorn remains unknown, but the weapon was rumored to have been wielded by many ancient shadow fey over the millenia.

Proficiency with a Rapier allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
