Wondrous Item, uncommon

This item is a dense, clay sphere about the size of an apple, etched with spiral patterns reminiscent of ammonites. It was originally developed by the Early Age peoples of Obojima for mining and large-scale construction projects. A small, crystalline "striker cap" is set into the top. To activate the bomb, you must twist and break this cap, which emits a sharp, resonant *zhin* sound. The bomb detonates moments later.

Mechanics
This is a single-use item. It has two distinct modes of use: throwing it as a grenade or placing it as a breaching charge.

Thrown Use
Action: As an action, you can break the striker cap and immediately throw the bomb to a point you can see within 60 feet.

Effect: Upon impact, the bomb detonates in a 15-foot radius sphere.
Saving Throw: Each creature in the radius must make a DC 15 Dexterity saving throw.
Damage: A creature takes 4d6 thunder damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one.

Placed Use (Breaching Charge)
Action: As an action, you can affix the bomb to a surface like a wall, door, or large object. When you do, you break the striker cap.

Detonation: The bomb detonates at the end of your next turn, giving you a chance to move away.
Focused Blast: The blast is focused and concussive. It deals double damage to objects and structures (8d6 thunder damage).
Debris Clearing: The explosion is powerful enough to clear a 10-foot cube of non-magical rubble or to shatter a locked, non-magical stone door.

Notes: Minor residue and shrapnel remnants can be Salvaged with DC12
