Wondrous Item, very rare

This finely crafted compass bears a glowing sigil of interlocking gears. Once per day, while holding the Wayfinder, you can use an action to speak its command word. A shimmering door of metal and light appears within 5 feet of you, leading to Wrightwood’s Workshop: an extradimensional space filled with arcane tools, half-finished inventions, and the faint hum of machinery.

  • Access: Only creatures holding a Wayfinder can open or enter the door.
  • Barrier: No attacks, spells, or effects can pass through the threshold.
  • Duration: The door remains for 1 hour or until you dismiss it.
  • Visitors: Creatures other than Wrightwood can remain inside for up to 1 hour, during which they may take a short rest. When the time expires, they are gently shunted back through the doorway to the location they entered from.
  • Return: When the door closes, the Wayfinder reappears in its owner’s possession, and the door vanishes.

Wrightwood’s Workshop is always the same place: a sprawling, ever-changing artificer’s domain where the master craftsman himself can be found studying, forging, and tinkering among his collected relics. Within the humming halls of his extradimensional workshop, Master Artificer Mathias Wrightwood offers the following specialized services to trusted adventurers and fellow craftsmen:

  • Harvesting: Extracts monster parts and magical essences.
  • Manufacturing: Builds custom adventuring gear and tools from mundane materials.
  • Enchanting: Adds magical effects on items and brews potions and poisons using monster parts and magical essences.
  • Forging: Combines the processes of Manufacturing and Enchanting magical items.
  • Salvaging: Breaks down items to reclaim valuable materials.
