These silvery-black handwraps are formed from old scales shed by Ala Trea as a sign of friendship. The scales resonate faintly with shifting elemental energy and seem to adjust themselves perfectly to the wearer’s hands and can only be used by a monk.
Effects
-
Elemental Strikes. You gain a +1 bonus to attack rolls you make with unarmed strikes.
-
When you hit with an unarmed strike, the attack deals an extra 1d4 elemental damage. The damage type is determined by the last Ki feature you used this turn:
-
Fire when you use Flurry of Blows
-
Cold when you use Patient Defense
-
Lightning when you use Step of the Wind
-
-
Elemental Ki Rebound. When you reduce a creature to 0 hit points with an unarmed strike, you gain 1 temporary Ki point (you may only gain one temporary Ki point in this way until you finish a short or long rest). Temporary Ki points disappear when spent or when you finish a short or long rest.
Appearance
While worn, the wraps shimmer with subtle prismatic hues that pulse in time with the user’s Ki. The elemental color changes (red, blue, or white-gold) depending on which Ki technique was last used.
Notes: Bonus: Magic, Damage, Combat
