Emblazoned upon 'The Wing' is the image of a black bird of prey; a hawk. This shield is yet another lost artifact of Sir Aldith, a Knight commonly known as 'The Black Hawk'. In addition to it's primary function as a defensive tool, this magic shield can be used as a thrown weapon to attack. The shield can hit any target up to 15ft, and as a bonus will strike one additional target within 5ft of the initial target dealing 2d4 points of bludgeoning damage plus wielder's strength bonus, before returning to the thrower's arm. The shield comes as part of a pair, with a thick falconer's style glove with metal bands acting as the retrieval spell's counterpart. 

While in use, the wielder cannot wear gloves or gauntlet items. 

Shields require the Utilize action to Don or Doff. You gain the Armor Class benefit of a Shield only if you have training with it.
