Appearance: An old and forgotten silver locket on a fine silver chord, to match with intricate baroque etchings on the outside. Inside the amulet is a small, ancient portrait of an Elvish woman in fine light blue robes with long black hair. The other half of the locket is a small lapis lazul stone, with the words, "May your soul be guarded till the end of time," in elvish. This item is supposed to be cursed, and present a spirit to the person bearing it.
Description: When a player bears the locket on their person, a spectral image of the woman in the portrait will begin to appear during travel and rest periods. The woman appears more melancholy at first. But eventually, to the DM's decree, once the specter has become used to the player, they will occasionally hear the specter humming old elvish tunes to herself. During rest periods, she may even begin manifesting in front of whoever the player bearing the locket trusts. She will never make a motion against the party, nor does she speak to the party. She enjoys listening to people speak to her- whether it be stories, about the person, etc- and may even make small gestures and laughs depending on the conversation.
Item does not grant effects, meant more as a Gothic trinket and for world building. Up to the DM as to where this amulet can be found (Suggested locations: an old tomb, a forgotten manor's basement, an old battlefield.)
