This golden ring is set with ten emeralds along one side.
This ring is immune to all damage.
While wearing this ring, you have truesight out to a range of 120 feet, resistance to force damage, and immunity to psychic damage.
While wearing this ring, you are immune to magic that allows other creatures to read your thoughts, determine whether you are lying, know your alignment, or know your creature type. Creatures can telepathically communicate with you only if you allow it.
You can use an action to cause the ring to become invisible until you use another action to make it visible until you remove the ring or until you die.
If you die while wearing the ring, your soul enters it, unless it already houses a soul. You can remain in the ring or depart for the afterlife. As long as your soul is in the ring, you can telepathically communicate with any creature wearing it. A wearer can't prevent this telepathic communication, nor can your soul be unwillingly ejected from the ring. If your body is raised while your soul is housed in the ring, you may return to it.
Once per 10 days, a soul housed in the ring may force an attuned wearer to make a DC 12 Charisma saving throw or be possessed by the soul; the wearer's soul then enters the ring, and the previously housed soul now inhabits the body. The wearer may choose to fail this saving throw. In possession of the body, the soul retains its alignment, Intelligence, Wisdom, Charisma, knowledge, class features, proficiencies, and legendary resistances, but otherwise uses the possessed target body's statistics. However, the soul doesn't gain access to the target body's knowledge, class features, or proficiencies.
The possession lasts until the body is dead, and the soul cannot be forced out of the living body, even by a wish. When the possession ends, the soul enters the afterlife and the body is free to be raised with its original soul, if that soul is willing.
