This necklace has a total of nineteen obsidian black colored glass beads, with the twentieth bead a diaphanous, hollow blue color. When a monk wearing this necklace takes another level in monk, another bead turns blue, representing the monk tapping into the power of ki. At a monk's third level, the third bead shows a symbol reminiscent of their chosen subclass. When the monk wearing this item spends a ki point, the corresponding number of blue beads turn back to black. Likewise, when a monk meditates for 30 minutes to regain their spent ki points, the corresponding beads change back to a bright, sky blue.
