Wondrous Item, rare (requires attunement by a Requires attunement by a monk)
These wraps seem to almost meld into your hands when you don them. They are adorned with mystic runes, which seem to glow a split-second before you are hit by a ranged attack. After deflecting a spell attack the runes softly glow with the colour of magic they have absorbed, until it is discharged or fades away.
While attuned to these wraps and wearing them, you gain the following benefits when using your Deflect Missiles feature:
- You may spend 1 ki point to reduce the damage of the incoming attack by a further 1d10.
- You may spend 1 ki point to use this feature when targeted by an incoming ranged spell attack. You can only reduce damage that is not force or psychic damage. Also, the first time you hit with a melee attack on your next turn, the target takes an extra 1d6 damage of the damage type deflected.
- When using this feature, roll a d20; on a 20 you are able to redirect the spell, in the same way you could if you caught a missile and reduced it's damage to 0. On a 1 the extra 1d6 damage you would deal on your first melee attack next turn, is instead dealt to you now.
In addition, you also gain +1 to attack rolls and damage rolls made with unarmed attacks.
Notes: Bonus: Unarmed Attacks, Damage: Unarmed Attacks, Requires attunement by a monk, Warding, Handwear
