The Blade of Xoferif is the sword of a fabled hero from Yako culture. It has a slender blade that moves more flowingly than regular steel. The ornate hilt has images of foxes chasing each other. The blade is warm to the touch, as if it was just laying in the sun.
Special. If you attack with the Blade of Xoferif as part of the Attack action on your turn, you can use a bonus action immediately after to make a melee attack with it. This attack deals 1d4 fire damage on a hit instead of 1d8 piercing.
The wielder can choose to expend one charge to cast a spell on the spell list below. Each long rest, the wielder may restore 1d4 - 2 + your Intelligence modifier charges, to a maximum of 1.
At the 1st level, the wielder may cast
Longstrider. You touch a creature. The target's speed increases by 10 feet until the spell ends.
At the 4th level, the wielder may cast
Misty Step. Briefly surrounded by silvery mist, you teleport up to 30 feet to an unoccupied space that you can see.
At the 11th level, the wielder may cast
Haste. Choose a willing creature that you can see within range. Until the spell ends, the target's speed is doubled, it gains a +2 bonus to AC, it has advantage on Dexterity saving throws, and it gains an additional action on each of its turns. That action can be used only to take the Attack (one weapon attack only), Dash, Disengage, Hide, or Use an Object action.
When the spell ends, the target can't move or take actions until after its next turn, as a wave of lethargy sweeps over it.
At the 16th level, the wielder may cast
Blink. Roll a d20 at the end of each of your turns for the duration of the spell. On a roll of 11 or higher, you vanish from your current plane of existence and appear in the Ethereal Plane (the spell fails and the casting is wasted if you were already on that plane). At the start of your next turn, and when the spell ends if you are on the Ethereal Plane, you return to an unoccupied space of your choice that you can see within 10 feet of the space you vanished from. If no unoccupied space is available within that range, you appear in the nearest unoccupied space (chosen at random if more than one space is equally near). You can dismiss this spell as an action.
While on the Ethereal Plane, you can see and hear the plane you originated from, which is cast in shades of gray, and you can't see anything there more than 60 feet away. You can only affect and be affected by other creatures on the Ethereal Plane. Creatures that aren't there can't perceive you or interact with you, unless they have the ability to do so.
Proficiency with a Rapier allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.
Vex. If you hit a creature with this weapon and deal damage to the creature, you have Advantage on your next attack roll against that creature before the end of your next turn.
