Weapon (whip), rare (requires attunement by a you sit down and study the make of the cane in order to learn how to use its secondary mode)

The threaded cane seems like an ordinary cane to those who don't know what it is, but if you spend half an hour studying the weapon half an hour you know how to activate its whip form when the threaded cane is in cane form it looks like a cane and deals [roll]1d6[/roll] bludgeoning damage and uses STR as it's modifier but when the whip form is activated the threaded cane deals [roll]1d4[/roll] slashing damage and uses DEX as it skill modifier.

You can swap between the 2 modes as a bonus action

When you roll a critical hit you may swap the weapon mode mid strike and change the damage type 

 

 

Proficiency with a Whip allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.


This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.

Slow. If you hit a creature with this weapon and deal damage to it, you can reduce its Speed by 10 feet until the start of your next turn. If the creature is hit more than once by weapons that have this property, the Speed reduction doesn’t exceed 10 feet.
