Weapon (battleaxe), rare (requires attunement by a - by a Fighter or Barbarian)

While in the light, this axe shimmers with a slight blue tint as it is supernaturally charged with magical lightning. The battleaxe doesn't create lightning, but amplifies any created by its wielder. 

While you are attuned to this weapon, you deal an additional 1d6 point of lightning damage whenever you deal lightning damage.

You have a +1 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon.

Curse.

Lightning Rod. This item is cursed. While you are attuned this axe and it is on your person, it becomes a lightning rod. Any non-PC targeted magical lightning spell in a 60 ft. radius becomes focused on the wielder of the axe. While in a thunderstorm, any lightning strike that would hit in a 500 feet radius instead targets the wielder.                                                    Chaotic Whimsey. Beings slain by Zephyr's Battle Axe are blown to the wind, the wielder may pursue the spirits. Upon gathering 1d10 spirits the wielder may un-attune from Zephyr's Battle Axe.

Proficiency with a Battleaxe allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.


This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.

Topple. If you hit a creature with this weapon, you can force the creature to make a Constitution saving throw (DC 8 plus the ability modifier used to make the attack roll and your Proficiency Bonus). On a failed save, the creature has the Prone condition.
