This prickly green bean measures 3/4 of an inch in diameter and weighs an ounce. Typically, 1d4 + 2 thorn beans are found together.

You can use an action to throw the bean up to 60 feet. The bean takes root and starts to sprout. After 1 turn, the ground in a 20-foot radius centered on the point where the bean landed twists and sprouts hard spikes and thorns the area becomes difficult terrain. When a creature moves into or within the area, it takes 2d4 piercing damage for every 5 feet it travels. A creature can attempt a DC 12 acrobatics check if it moves no more than 5 feet during its turn, avoiding the damage on a successful save. After 5 minutes, the spikes and thorns wither away, turning into rich soil.
