- This staff can be wielded as a magic quarterstaff that grants a +2 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with it. While holding it, you have a +2 bonus to spell attack rolls.
- This staff has 10 charges and regains 1d6 + 4 expended charges daily at dawn. If you expend the last charge, roll a d20. On a 1, a swarm of insects consumes and destroys the staff, then disperses.
Spells. While holding the staff, you can use an action to expend some of its charges to cast one of the following spells from it, using your spell save DC: Transport via Plants (6 charges), Speak with Plants (3 charges), Plant Growth (3 charges) or Locate Animals or Plants (2 charges).
- Tree Form. Once per day, you can use an action to plant one end of the staff on the ground to transform the staff into a tree.The tree appears ordinary but radiates a faint aura of transmutation magic if targeted by detect magic. While touching the tree and using another action to speak its command word, you return the staff to its normal form. Any creature in the tree falls when it reverts to a staff.
If your plant the staff into fertile earth, the tree can be up to 60 feet tall, have up to a 5-foot-diameter trunk, and have its branches at the top spread out in up to a 20-foot radius. This tree can grow enough fruit (owner's choice) to sustain [1d4 per 10 feet of the tree's height] medium-sized creatures for 1 day.
If you plant the staff somewhere other than fertile earth, it can only be up to 12 feet tall, be up to 1 foot in diameter and have its branches at the top spread out in up to a 4-foot-radius. This tree can only grow enough fruit to sustain 1d4 medium-sized creatures for 1 day. The fruit grown is determined by the 1d4 die roll: 1 = limes, 2 = lemons, 3 = crab apples & 4 = cranberries
Proficiency with a Quarterstaff allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.
Topple. If you hit a creature with this weapon, you can force the creature to make a Constitution saving throw (DC 8 plus the ability modifier used to make the attack roll and your Proficiency Bonus). On a failed save, the creature has the Prone condition.
