When the Zero Point Blade comes within a few feet of a mana stone dropped after killing a hydra, the sword will begin to shake (only happens when it first comes within contact with the stone) and when it comes within a few inches without disruption then the stone will fly towards the open space in the hilt. The sword then goes from what seems to be a blunt dagger to growing in size and changing in shape to look like a Shortsword with a noticeable yellow ridge running down the length of the blade and gives of the magical aura, indistinguishable from that of a hydra.
While the hydra mana stone is in the swords hilt, it's mana will be drawn out of the crystal. the hydra mana stone can only last for around 10 minutes before turning grey and losing all its magical potential, falling out of the swords hilt as the sword returns to its regular form.
The magical rejection that the sword has still remains in this form.
When the Zero Point Blade is in the hydra form, it will gain the beholder the sword variant spell Mirror Image. While the sword is in contact with the user, they will always have two other copies of themselves that act like the spell Mirror Image. However, once attacked, these duplicates will not disappear and will continue to exist as long as the user stays in contact with the blade.
Sword Variant Spell Mirror Image - The user has two other copies of themselves, although they have no will of their own and instead repeat the action the wielder of the sword has made. When the wielder is attack, they must roll a d20 to determine whether or not they themselves are attack or if it's one of their mirrors instead. Should they roll an 8 or higher then the attack instead hits one of the clones instead. Once the mirror is attack, it will appear that it has been attacked to then presume the position that the wielder is in.
Attacking -
When the wielder attacks with the sword, the sword itself does damage similar to that of a regular Shortsword. However, the wielders mirrors will also attack in the same fashion but 5 feet to the left and right of the wielder meaning anything to the left and right of the original target will also be hit, this includes friendlies, and will take the damage rolled for the original attack in radiant damage. The wielder will also have to make extra hit dice rolls for any other separate beings hit by the mirrors.
Proficiency with a Shortsword allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
