A pitch black whistle made of trapped shadow, it seems to draw in the light around it. Blowing into this whistle causes no sound, yet a mastiff seems to answer its call, materializing out of shadow.

This whistle has 3 charges, and expending a charge cost 1 action. For 1 charge, you can summon a Shadow Mastiff Alpha to fight by your side for up to an hour, or until it reaches 0 hit points. The whistle regains all expended charges at dawn. If you expend the last charge, roll a d20. On a 1, the whistle dissipates into shadow and is destroyed.
