A mysterious black and silver curved blade with runes along it. Onyx pommel with a gray lining on the grip. The hand guard in the shape of a dodechehedron. The sword itself has an unnerving feeling to those who hold it.

The katana grants the following benefits in its dormant state:

  • You gain a +1 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon.
  • When you attack a creature with this magic weapon and roll a 20 on the attack roll, that target takes an extra 10 necrotic damage if it isn't a construct or an undead. You also gain 10 temporary hit points.
  • While carrying the katana, you can move up, down, and across vertical surfaces and upside down along ceilings, while leaving your hands free. You have a climbing speed equal to your walking speed. Additionally, you can’t be caught in webs of any sort and can move through webs as if they were difficult terrain.
  • When the blade is further than 100ft away from the attuned it will automatically teleport to the user.

Cursed: The weapon cannot be destroyed on unattuned and takes up a slot that is available to the user. Wielders of the sword can sometimes hear whispers of a voice, unknown who that may be.

Proficiency with a Rapier allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.


This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.

Vex. If you hit a creature with this weapon and deal damage to the creature, you have Advantage on your next attack roll against that creature before the end of your next turn.
