Ring, very rare (requires attunement by a from someone with either the Pact Magic, or Spellcasting class features.)

This ring has 4 charges, and it regains 1d4 expended charges daily at dawn. While wearing the ring, you can use a bonus action to expend 1 of its charges to roll a hit die.  The wearer of the ring losses hit points equal to the number rolled and they create an additional spell slot of that level, that they can use for the rest of the day. If the number rolled would create a higher level spell slot then the character would otherwise have access to, then the spell slot created is of the highest level usable by the ring's wearer.

The ring may also be used to cast Animate Objects.  By expending 1 charge of the ring the spellcaster rolls 1 hit die, and losses that many hit points, if the number rolled is greater then 5 the spell is cast at that level.

If the ring has expanded all charges roll a d20.  On a roll of 1 the ring malfunctions, before the spell slot is created, the ring severes any finger wearing it, then the ring turns to ash.
