The blade of this otherwise simple, elegant shortsword is always intensely cold to the touch and must be kept sheathed or condensation will eventually soak the wielder's hand.
On a successful attack with the Winter Blade, opponent must make a DC12 constitution save. On a failed save, opponent takes an additional 1D6 cold damage and has disadvantage on all attacks with a weapon until the start of the player's next turn. This effect is equivalent to a non-ranged version of the cantrip 'frostbite' and can only be applied once to the same enemy.
Proficiency with a Shortsword allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.
Vex. If you hit a creature with this weapon and deal damage to the creature, you have Advantage on your next attack roll against that creature before the end of your next turn.
