While the staff is in your hands, you can walk on water as if you where affected buy Water Walk (only water)
Waves walk : While on land, as a bonus action you summon an never ending wave of water elevating you 5ft above the ground and following you when you move. while the Wave walk is active, you can ignore difficult terrain, falls are reduce by 5ft and you can ignore 5ft ledges. You can end wave walk as a bonus action.
If you are a Marai (race) you can use the staff charges
The staff has 10 charges. While holding it, you can use an action to expend 1 or more of its charges to cast one of the following spells from it, using your spell save DC: Tidal Wave (3 charges), Watery Sphere (4 charge), Water Breathing (3 charges), or wall of water (3 charges).
The staff regains 1d6 + 4 expended charges daily at dawn. If you expend the last charge, roll a d20. On a 1, the staff turns to water and is destroyed.
