This tattoo squirms and quivers on the skin, as if attempting to take Cover from everyone except the Attuned bearer. The tattoo has 1 charge, which it regains daily at dawn.
While the tattoo is on your skin, as a Bonus Action, you can speak the tattoo's Activation word & expend 1 of the tattoo’s charges to cast a special version of the Sanctuary spell with a Range of Self:
- Until the spell ends, any creature who targets you with an attack or a harmful spell must first make a Charisma saving throw. On a failed save, the creature must choose a new target or lose the attack or spell.
- This spell doesn't protect you from area effects, such as the explosion of a fireball.

If you make an attack, cast a spell that affects an enemy, or deal damage to another creature, this spell ends.
Tattoo Attunement. To attune to this item, you hold the needle to your skin where you want the tattoo to appear, pressing the needle there throughout the attunement process. When the attunement is complete, the needle turns into the ink that becomes the tattoo, which appears on the skin. If you have multiple magic tattoos, they count as a single magic item with regard to the number of magic items you can attune to. If your attunement to the tattoo ends, the tattoo vanishes, and the needle reappears in the closest unoccupied space to you.
