Staff (quarterstaff), very rare (requires attunement)

It is not quite known where this bone originally came from, how it was made into this staff, who used it in the past, nor why anyone would make it.

It seems to be a sort of femur bone, about 5 feet in length. The bone itself has been fossilized by time. Otherwise, it has been carved to resemble a staff or large cane.

After some time with the object, the wielder will begin to notice a change in their recollection of events. Their memory seems to become perfect. There are even instances of the user remembering events they had not witnessed. Upon the bone, there is emblazoned a strange sign.

Ye Olde Femur Stick grants a +2 bonus to attack and damage rolls.  It deals an additional 1d6 Necrotic damage on an attack.

It may be thrown as an attack action with a normal range of 20 feet and a long range of 60 feet.  If thrown, Ye Olde Femur Stick will return to its owner at the end of their turn by the most direct path. Any creature still in the path must make a DC 15 Dexterity saving throw, or take another 3d6 Bludgeoning damage.

Proficiency with a Quarterstaff allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.

This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.

Topple. If you hit a creature with this weapon, you can force the creature to make a Constitution saving throw (DC 8 plus the ability modifier used to make the attack roll and your Proficiency Bonus). On a failed save, the creature has the Prone condition.

Notes: Bonus: Magic, Damage: Necrotic, Weapon Property: Thrown, Damage, Combat, Versatile, Topple
