Weapon (scimitar), very rare (requires attunement)

You can use a bonus action to speak this magic sword's command word, causing flames to erupt from the blade. These flames shed bright light in a 40-foot radius and dim light for an additional 40 feet. While the sword is ablaze, it deals an extra 2d6 fire damage to any target it hits. The flames last until you use a bonus action to speak the command word again or until you drop or sheathe the sword.

This sword has a matching sword, "Wing of the Unborn". If the player wields both swords, this sword gains additional effects:

- The fire damage dice increase from 2D6 to 4D6

- upon killing 5 enemy creatures while this sword has been activated, you gain 1 charge for the ability, " Relentless Phoenix ". If you drop to 0 hit points while wielding this sword and don't die outright, you can make a DC 10 constitution saving throw. If you succeed, you drop to 1 hit point instead. This skill lasts an hour after the condition is met and is automatically lost if you begin a short/long rest while it is active. 

Proficiency with a Scimitar allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.


This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.

Nick. When you make the extra attack of the Light property, you can make it as part of the Attack action instead of as a Bonus Action. You can make this extra attack only once per turn.
