Weapon (crossbow, hand), rare

a small mechanical device with two fine leather straps so that the weapon can be mounted onto the wrist of any Medium or Small creature. The firing mechanism wraps around the middle and ring finger of the hand and is trigger by extending the fingers back towards the wrist.

Poisoned Bolts. Standard bolts fired from this weapon are coated in a dangerous poison, dealing an additional 3d8 Poison Damage on hit. Hit creatures must make a Constitution Saving Throw (DC 16) or be Poisoned.

Proficiency with a Hand Crossbow allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.


This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.

Vex. If you hit a creature with this weapon and deal damage to the creature, you have Advantage on your next attack roll against that creature before the end of your next turn.
