This plate armor is a blend of wood and metal with large thorns growing from the shoulders and chest plate. So long as there is not a shield blocking the way, when hit by a melee attack the thorns lash out in response dealing one piercing damage to the enemy that struck you. Additional, once per day when reduced to 0 hit points, the leaves on the thorns release a healing powder restoring you to 1 hit point instead.

Made of interlocking metal rings, chain mail includes a layer of quilted fabric worn underneath the mail to prevent chafing and to cushion the impact of blows. The suit includes gauntlets.
