A brash and gold gauntlet designed to load and fire uniquely made phials for devastating effect. A powerful coil system holds the phials on the outside of the gauntlet, that pulls a phial forward after one is expended. The coil holds up to three phials at once, and the phial that is going to be used is placed along the knuckles. The word Wistlespray in Orcish is written along each knuckle in small text. When you attack with this gauntlet with the intent to use a phial, a piercing whistle sound (akin to a kettle) is heard clearly within 10 feet of the creature attacked. This sound is not subtle, but will not attract half the city (so being sneaky is not entirely plausible).
You may attack with this weapon as an unarmed strike - but you gain proficiency in unarmed strikes when it is equipped. When you make an attack - choose if you are going to use a phial before you make the attack. The phial is expended regardless of the attack hitting or not. You can hold up to 3 phials at once, and can choose between the three when you wish to expend a phial. As an action, you may load phials of your choosing into the gauntlet.
To create a potion you must use an alchemical kit. Determine the desired damage type BEFORE you make the roll. Make an intelligence check (+ proficiency bonus if you proficient with alchemical kits), and refer to the table below to determine the outcome. The tier of potion determines the number of d4's tied to the phial. (Ex. - A tier 4 thunder phial will do an additional 4d4 thunder damage on a successful hit.) It takes one hour of uninterrupted work with an alchemical kit to make one batch (one roll attempt). The material costs add up to 5 gold per phial creation attempt - but you can spend 10 gold to get additional supplies and add +2 to you phial creation roll (up to a maximum of 50 additional gold and +10). Spent supplies are expended regardless of a success or failure.
Natural 1 - No phial is made and the alchemical kit is broken.
2 to 7 - No phial is made.
8 to 12 - One tier one phial of the chosen damage type.
13 to 16 - One tier two phial of the chosen damage type.
17 to 19 - One tier three phial of the chosen damage type.
20 to 24 - One tier four phial of the chosen damage type.
25 and up - One tier four and one tier one phial of the chosen damage type.
Natural 20 - Either a combination of phials adding up to six tiers or a tier six of the chosen damage type. (Ex. 2 tier one and 2 tier two.)
