Weapon (greatsword), legendary (requires attunement by a long rest.)

A greatsword requiring two hands to wield at all times, over 8 ft in length and a weight of 15 lbs, this god blade brings down the power of Myrkul upon its foes.

Myrkul's touch: Once attuned to this blade, attack rolls of 18, 19, 20 made with this weapon are considered critical hits (this effect does not stack with other similar skills, traits or feats). On critical hits, the target takes additional necrotic damage equal to half of the damage roll.

Lingering Essence: Any creature slain by this blade's necrotic damage is raised as a wraith controllable by the blade's master for upto 1 day. This can summon upto 3 wraiths at one time.

This ancient god blade is said to provide it's master with indomitability and is granted the title: The Defiler.

The Defiler: Once attuning to this weapon, a portion of your soul is forfeit to Myrkul, the god of death, who upon the end of your mortal existence will claim the remainder of your soul. For the duration of its mortal existence, the wielder is granted immunity to charm and paralysis conditions.

Proficiency with a Greatsword allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.

This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.

Graze. If your attack roll with this weapon misses a creature, you can deal damage to that creature equal to the ability modifier you used to make the attack roll. This damage is the same type dealt by the weapon, and the damage can be increased only by increasing the ability modifier.
