Weapon (blowgun), artifact (requires attunement)

The Black Spider employs obscure or Archeotech weaponry, such as the Xyclos Needler, a specially-crafted weapon created so that he could "test" new genetically-engineered serums in battlefield conditions. It fires a thin capillary tube imbued with The Black Spider's latest creation. Even the smallest scratch can induce terrifying psychotic premonitions of the tortures yet to come, cause a living being to mutate uncontrollably, or even to cause the victim to spontaneously combust... or maybe just heal the subject, one never knows what horror may be loaded into the Needlers chamber.

The Xyclos Needler creates a seemingly endless supply of tiny hypodermic needles, though no amount of investigation seems to reveal how it goes about this. As such the Needler can be fired with no need for ammo should the user desire. However it is clearly designed for these needles to carry delightfully insane concoctions to targets at range. As such anything you load into the Needlers chamber will be delivered in its shots. The Chamber has enough space for 5 doses of what ever the user desires!
The Needler also has a space above the handle of the device for the mounting of alchemical pods containing various liquids. When a pod is mounted in this fashion onto an empty Needler it is loaded with 10 doses of the substance.

When the Needler is fired while loaded with an alchemical fluid the target takes the weapons damage, then makes the save against whatever horror you have injected it with at disadvantage.
If you are loading the Needler with healing liquids, ignore the damage property of the weapon while firing at friendly targets. you Still have to roll to hit friendly targets, though as they are not trying to avoid the shot their AC is considered to be 10 for the purpose of this attack roll.

Proficiency with a Blowgun allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.

This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.

Vex. If you hit a creature with this weapon and deal damage to the creature, you have Advantage on your next attack roll against that creature before the end of your next turn.

Notes: Bonus: Magic, Damage: Piercing, Damage, Combat, Ammunition, Loading, Range, Vex
