It starts as normal gauntlet. After putting it on it grows up to the shoulder. The armor then begins to cut off the arm of the character at the shoulder. The armor begins to cut off the arm at the shoulder. The character must make 2 of 3 strength saves of 14 or higher to get off the arm before it cuts off the arm. The first fail results in damage of 1 HP. The second fail results in damage of 2 HP. If the character fails a second time the arm is cut off. The armor and arm fall to the ground and the arm is disintegrated. The armor then becomes bound to the shoulder of that character. The armor becomes a fully functional arm. It grants a bonus in strength of +2. It makes noise and leads to disadvantage in stealth. The arm of the character can not be regrown through any race abilities or spells.
Plate consists of shaped, interlocking metal plates to cover the entire body. A suit of plate includes gauntlets, heavy leather boots, a visored helmet, and thick layers of padding underneath the armor. Buckles and straps distribute the weight over the body.
