Weapon (longbow), very rare (requires attunement)

You gain a +2 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this weapon. In addition whenever you make an attack with this bow you can choose to activate one of the following effects:

  • The attack deals an additional 5d6 poison damage.
  • The target must succeed on a DC15 constitution saving throw or be stunned until the end of their next turn.
  • The target must succeed on a DC15 constitution saving throw or have vulnerability to piercing damage until the end of their next turn. If the target is resistant to piercing damage they instead lose their resistance to piercing damage until the end of their next turn.

Curse. This item is cursed. Attuning to it curses you until you are targeted by a remove curse spell or similar magic. As long as you remain cursed, you cannot discard the bow, which immediately teleports back into your hand or pack. Whenever you activate one of the features of this bow it temporarily transforms into a living cobra that lashes back at the wielder. You take 2d6 poison damage and take a cumulative -2 penalty to attack rolls with all weapons until you complete a long rest. After dealing damage the snake reverts back to bow form

Proficiency with a Longbow allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
