Common among the era of Magi-tech, these "portable cannons" use powerful thunderstones to fire multiple projectiles at once. These thunderstone shotguns are incapable of firing spellshots. This weapon fires a 15ft cone of projectiles with a range of 10/40. The weapon does 2d10 damage and has no disadvantage when attacking enemies within 5ft. Damage decreases by 1 point every 5ft to a minimum of 1. Attack bonus is equal to your strength modifier + proficiency bonus if applicable.
It’s up to you to decide whether a character has proficiency with a firearm. Characters in most D&D worlds wouldn’t have such proficiency. During their downtime, characters can use the training rules in the Player’s Handbook to acquire proficiency, assuming that they have enough ammunition to keep the weapons working while mastering their use.
This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.
