Weapon (rapier), rare (requires attunement by a Fighter)

When you are attuned to this weapon you gain the following benefits.

You have a +1 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon.

Grand Challenge: Your determination to uphold the honor of your noble house heightens your senses, revealing vital weaknesses on a nearby enemy. As a bonus action, you can create four marks on a target you can see within 60 ft. range; one on each cardinal direction of the target. These marks remain on the target until the end of your next turn. When you hit one of these marks, you destroy the mark to add 1d4 to your damage roll. If you destroy all marks or the target dies with at least one mark destroyed, you may choose any number of creatures you can see that are within 30 ft. of you, and they regain a number of hit points equal to 1d10 + your fighter level.

Grand Challenge may be activated once per long rest.

This feature's die size for its additional damage increases when you reach 5th level (1d6), 11th level (1d8), and 17th level (1d10).

Proficiency with a Rapier allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.

This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.

Vex. If you hit a creature with this weapon and deal damage to the creature, you have Advantage on your next attack roll against that creature before the end of your next turn.
