This powerful weapon has two forms which can be swapped between as a free action. The two forms it comes in is Defender form and Devastator form.
DEFENDER FORM: in this mode, the weapon takes the form of a great shield and a one-edge short sword. The shield is nearly impenetrable and can be held with one arm with a strength modifier of +3 and a proficiency. The shield adds a AC+4 while being held. The short sword deals 2d10 slashing on a hit. with each hit he deals or hits his shield, he can take a free action to gain a charge to the weapon. This caps at 10 charges.
DEVASTATOR FROM: in this mode, the axe takes the form of a Great axe. The axe has one bladed edge which is 3 ft blade, as well as a 7ft long handle. The strength requirement for this weapon is a Strength modifier of +5 and proficiency. As a normal melee attack add +3 to hit and a +5 with a charge used. On a hit, 2d12 slashing damage and a 1d10 force damage. If a charge is burned, an additional 1d12 lightning damage and on a critical hit 2d10 lightning damage. With the use of a variety of charges, different special actions are possible.
- 1 charge: boost attack ( can only be activated before a hit)
- 3 charge: shock slash ( range of 30 feet. requires a DEX save DC 10 plus proficiency and strength. On a fail, take 2d10 lightning and 1d6 force damage. on a success, take half the damage.
- 5 charge: Flash Slash ( User in charged with power from the weapon, forcing their muscles to move with great speed. User must move 30ft or else be stunned for the duration of the turn. As the user is moving, they may make a melee attack on any creature within range. No opportunity attacks can be made against the user during this attack.
- 10 charge: Thunder storm (The user releases all the power built up in the axe, making it weaker of a short time but releasing a cataclysmic force. The user plants the head of the axe into the ground in front of them, creating a shockwave with a radius of 60ft around them. All creatures in this area must make a DC 20 Con save or else be incapacitated for the remainder of their turn, this includes the user. All creatures in this area take 6d8 lightning damage, and any creature within 20ft of the user take an additional 2d10 force damage as well as be pushed 10ft away from the user. The user will must take a level of exhaustion after each use of this ability.)
Proficiency with a Greataxe allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.
Cleave. If you hit a creature with a melee attack roll using this weapon, you can make a melee attack roll with the weapon against a second creature within 5 feet of the first that is also within your reach. On a hit, the second creature takes the weapon’s damage, but don’t add your ability modifier to that damage unless that modifier is negative. You can make this extra attack only once per turn.
