This golden trident is adorned with the images of tentacles writhing up the handle to the tips of the three spears. Hidden inside the handle is a long chain attached to the head of the trident.
This weapon can make a special ranged attack with a range of 20 feet. The user can fire the head of the trident towards a creature within range. If the attack hits, the head of the trident sinks into the target, doing normal damage, and the target must make a Strength Saving Throw (equal to 8+Strength Modifier+Proficiency Bonus) or be violently pulled up to 15ft towards the user. If the attack misses, the chain recoils and brings the tridents head back to its handle. A Huge or larger creature has advantage on the saving throw.
Proficiency with a Trident allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.
Topple. If you hit a creature with this weapon, you can force the creature to make a Constitution saving throw (DC 8 plus the ability modifier used to make the attack roll and your Proficiency Bonus). On a failed save, the creature has the Prone condition.
