Weapon (shortsword), legendary (requires attunement by a Fighter)

穏やかで笑って、

ギャンブラーは何も見ることができない -

しかし、彼の刃はすべてを見ます。

Serene and smiling,

the gambler can see nothing--

but his blade sees all.

Pulling the top of this wooden walking stick, you discover that hidden inside the pole's shaft is a straight, one-edged wakizashi blade. This weapon once belonged to a famous blind man named Ichi, who traveled the land making money as a cunning gambler, an attentive masseuse, and a legendary swordsman. Somehow his favored blade has come into your possession. You feel as though some of Ichi's essence must have permeated the wood and steel, because the longer you hold the sword, the dimmer the blade's hamon gleams, and the more your sight seems to dim....

When you have attuned to this sword, you become Blinded.

  • You can no longer read.
  • You can no longer take the Dash action.
  • You gain 30ft. of Blindsight.
  • Perception checks involving sight automatically fail.
  • Ranged attack rolls are made with disadvantage.

Action. Initial attack rolls are done with disadvantage, and inflict 1d6 slashing damage.

Riposte: When a creature misses you with a melee attack, you can use your Reaction to make an attack roll with advantage against the attacker. If you succeed, your attack inflicts 2d8 slashing damage. If you roll a natural 20 on your attack roll with Riposte, add Proficiency bonus to damage roll.

Proficiency with a Shortsword allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.

This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.

Vex. If you hit a creature with this weapon and deal damage to the creature, you have Advantage on your next attack roll against that creature before the end of your next turn.
