Weapon (shortsword), rare (requires attunement by a rogue, ranger, monk, fighter, or barbarian)

Two retractable blades that attach to a bracers.

As both a Monk Weapon and a Martial Weapon anyone who is proficient in either of those can add their proficiency bonus to both the attack roll and the damage roll. Two types of attacks can be used, Slash and Stab. 

  • Slash. Hit: Add your unarmed strike damage to 6d6+4 as slashing damage. +3 to hit and damage is now magical. 
  • Stab. Hit: Add your unarmed strike damage to 12d4+3 as piercing damage. +3 to hit and damage is now magical. 
  • Firey Strike. +3 to hit, Hit: Add your unarmed strike damage to 15d4+5 as piercing damage, and 5d4 fire damage and is lit on fire.

Proficiency with a Shortsword allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.


This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.

Vex. If you hit a creature with this weapon and deal damage to the creature, you have Advantage on your next attack roll against that creature before the end of your next turn.
