A beautiful Kaleidoscope approximately 1 foot in length. It's made of highly polished brass, shined so thoroughly that it looks like solid gold with various jewels embedded throughout its length . Housed inside the kaleidoscope are two mirror pieces that have protective runes etched into them and between these two runes lies imprisoned the angel turned daemon, Samael. Inside the Kaleidoscope, Samael is in a weakened state and manifests as a single eye which the player can look through, however he can be invoked into a stronger state by making a blood sacrifice to him .
Sentient-The Kaleidoscope houses the daemon Samael and he in turn can speak to the player who holds the kaleidoscope. He is LE with the statistics of the Planetar monster in the Monster Manual. He will often persuade creatures to gaze into his prison making many promises, some true, some false
Abilities-A creature can look through the Kaleidoscope and view the world through the Eye of Samael. They gain Truesight while looking through the Kaleidoscope.
Blood Pact-Once a Day-Once a day a creature can invoke the vast knowledge of Samael through a sacrifice of their own blood. The creatue succeeds one Intelligence (Arcana, History, Religion) check they make, having Samael inform them of any knowledge they seek.
Cursed-The Kaleidoscope is cursed, a creature must make a Wisdom saving throw DC 10 to avoid being tempted to look through the Kaleidoscope by Samael . He can tempt them in the middle of battle, before bed, or any time the DM chooses. If a creature looks through the kaleidoscope either intentionally or unintentionally, they must make a Charisma saving throw DC 15. On three failed saves the runic prison housed inside the Kaleidoscope shatters and Samael is freed.
Cursed--When using the Blood Pact Feature of the Kaleidoscope, the creature preforming the Blood Pact takes 3d6 Necrotic damage this damage can not be reduced by any means. A creature dealt damage this way has their maximum hit points reduced by the damage taken until they take a long rest.
