There are 8 charges in total. Roll 1d3 to see how many charges you start with, and there are eight charges in total. Thus using one charge, you can as an action create one orb of Darkness that is a 10 foot diameter sphere, up to 30 feet from you.
Additionally, each charge can create another orb of darkness that is up to 20 feet from the previous orb of darkness, with that same action, or as another action on a later turn. Furthermore, you are able to see through this darkness, incurring no disadvantages from it, and, through your eyes, you can as a bonus action, to look through an orb of darkness and see through any other one as if it was a mirror. Therefore, you could have two orbs, in two different rooms, and you would be able to see in both rooms at the same time, for example.
- Once you have established multiple orbs of darkness, you can teleport as an action, and when you do so, you remove one orb of darkness that you have created, and that you can see, and you teleport to it, occupying the closest available square. Furthermore, as you teleport you can absorb other orbs around you, and for each extra orb you remove you gain +1 AC until the start of your next turn (up to 5). After this teleport, all attacks to you have disadvantage until the start of your next turn.
- Once you have established multiple orbs of darkness, you can, when you take the Attack action, teleport your attack through an orb that is within 5 feet of a creature, and attack it with one of your attacks. When you do so, you absorb ¼ of the orb; each orb can only withstand this 4 times before it will disperse, and each orb can only be used this way once per turn. If you can place more than one orb at a time, all around the same creature (up to 8), you can gain an Extra Attack for each orb removed.
If you have more than 2 charges activated, you must Concentrate on the orbs of darkness to maintain them. You can maintain your concentration for up to 1 min. Once all charges are used, they do not recharge until midnight each night, but 1d3 charge per night.
