This whetstone has the ability to make any nonmagical weapon so sharp that it becomes magical in nature. The whetstone has 5 sides to it and you can sharpen any nonmagical blade with a specific edge of the whetstone to make your weapon gain the ability to do one of the following types of damage: acid, fire, cold, thunder or lightning.

Sharpening takes 10 minutes to accomplish. Choose a specific type of damage at that time and roll a d20. On a 1, you put too keen of an edge on the blade and the magical power that is attempting to be infused, breaks your weapon. On a success, once per day, as an action, you can activate the latent magical powers transferred from the whetstone. Your weapon becomes magical and infused with whatever power was chosen while sharpening for 1 hour and the damage normally dealt by your weapon becomes acid, fire, cold, thunder or lightning for the duration.

The whetstone may be used once per day and recharges at dawn.
