You have a +2 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon. This sword gives off a blueish black glow and will deal an extra 2d8 of necrotic damage on a hit of a living creature or heal undead for the same amount. Once per short rest the wielder can cause the blade to explode in a necrotic explosion of 20 feet radius. This explosion does 8d6 necrotic DC 14 Dex Save for half and heals all undead in the area for the total damage done to all of the living in the area.
ZomBlade will not work for the living and in order to unlock its power one must be undead. If the holder goes to 0 hp while possessing the weapon they will gain 2 death strikes automatically. On the third death strike they will immediately return as a Zombie with the full power of ZomBlade now at their command. The wielder retains their original alignment and control of their own action unless greater undead is near by such as a Vampire or undead beholder. ZomBlade also always the wielder to command lesser zombies within 120 feet for a total hit dice below the wielder hit points. In other words a zombie barbarian with 100 hit points could command 100 hit dice of zombies. The zombie will do their best to fulfill the last command even outside the range of command. The wielder becomes immune to poison, receives -2 to Dex and +2 to Con once attuned.
Proficiency with a Greatsword allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.
Graze. If your attack roll with this weapon misses a creature, you can deal damage to that creature equal to the ability modifier you used to make the attack roll. This damage is the same type dealt by the weapon, and the damage can be increased only by increasing the ability modifier.
