You get 3 shield slots, per short rest.

Shield of the 4th Hell. You must roll a d6, if you roll a 6 you negate 100% of damage taken. 2-5 Half the damage is negated and if you roll a 1 you take 100% of the damage delt.  Using this ability consumes one of your shield slots. (this negates both magic and normal attacks)

Shields require the Utilize action to Don or Doff. You gain the Armor Class benefit of a Shield only if you have training with it.
