You have a +1 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon.

It has 4 charges of Shocking Grasp cast at 1st level. At dawn 1d4 charges regained.

If your opponent is wearing armor made of metal, your attack is at advantage but you must use up one charge (if available) to gain this advantage. Whether you hit the target or not, the charge is used up. If you choose to attack the same opponent without advantage, then no charges are expended prior to your attack. However, if you are successful to hit, you may expend a charge to activate Shocking Grasp. 

On a critical hit the Shocking Grasp takes effect and no charges are used.

Proficiency with a mace allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
