A wooden boomerang covered in ethereal glyphs. When thrown it travels through the void between planes. It returns to the thrower regardless of whether it hit or misses, including moving between planes.
On hit: 1d4 +mod force damage. Thrower can trigger the "slay" once per short/long rest for additional 6d10 damage as extraplanar energy crushes it against the boundaries of the material plane. DC 17 con saving throw for half damage.
Roll a D10 to determine the type of slay damage.

On critical miss: Roll a D10. Thrower takes 1d4 + mod damage and must make a constitution saving throw against own spell save DC or be stunned for one round by back blast from the boomerang's shift between the planes.
The user must spend time during a short rest (1) or long rest (2) to recharge the weapon by redoing the glyphs on easy side.
The target of the slay function (dragons, giants etc) can be changed on a long rest.
The boomerang is a ranged weapon, and any creature proficient with the javelin is also proficient with this weapon.
On a miss, a boomerang returns to the thrower's hand.
