Weapon (battleaxe), legendary (requires attunement)

The ancient weapon shows it age, a rough and pointed scale wrapped to a weathered bone. You have a +2 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon. While holding the weapon, whenever you take radiant damage, you can use your reaction to absorb and negate the damage, causing this weapon to gain a charge. The axe gains 1 charge for every 10 points of radiant damage negated, and can hold up to 6 charges at a time. While holding a charge, the axe sheds dim light out to 10 feet, and deals an extra 1d8 radiant damage on a hit. While holding 6 charges, the axes sheds bright light out to 10 feet, has a +3 bonus to attack and damage rolls, and deals an extra 2d8 radiant damage on a hit. Additionally, when you hit a creature with an attack, you can choose to expends all gathered charges, dealing an extra 2d8 radiant damage per charge.

Proficiency with a Battleaxe allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.


This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.

Topple. If you hit a creature with this weapon, you can force the creature to make a Constitution saving throw (DC 8 plus the ability modifier used to make the attack roll and your Proficiency Bonus). On a failed save, the creature has the Prone condition.
