Shield's Edge is a shield and axe combination that transforms. When not being used, the axe becomes part of the shield's decoration with shaft sticking out from the edge of the shield. There are 4 positions the shaft can be moved to. Because the axe uses part of the shield's design, some of the forms reduce the shield's protection rating. As a Bonus Action, the axe may be reattached, moved to a different position and transformed into another form.
Position One: Removes a Handaxe that can be thrown (+1 to hit, +3 Damage). Using a bonus action causes the handaxe to return. This form does not reduce the shield's protection rating.
Handaxe 1d6 Light, Thrown (Range 20/60)
Position Two: Removes a One Handed Battle Axe that cannot be used two-handed (+2 to hit, +2 Damage). This form reduces the shield's protection rating by one (-1 AC).
Battle Axe 1d8
Position Three: Removes a Two-Handed Battle Axe that cannot be used one-handed (+2 to hit, +2 Damage). This form reduces the shield's protection rating by one (-1 AC).
Battle Axe 1d10 Two-Handed
Position Four: Removes a Great Axe (+1 to hit, +1 Damage). This form reduces the shield's protection rating by two (-2 AC).
