Wondrous Item, artifact (requires attunement)

In ages past Rušilac, was a simple farmer, who rose to become a legendary warrior. It is said, he became so powerful even the gods grew nervous. Thankfully for the gods, Rušilac didn’t care about divinity, and quietly disappeared. 

  • You have a +1 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with your unarmed strikes.

  • As a bonus action you may choose to charge the Wraps of Rušilac. The wraps hum with force energy, and you gain an additional 1d6 (force) charge dice. You may use this dice on your next successful hit with an unarmed strike. You can also choose to double the charge dice, for each round the charge is not released. On the third round, the Wraps of Rušilac are full of force energy, and the charge must be released that round or it is lost. 

  • Whenever you finish a long rest, you gain a number of temporary hit points equal to your maximum ki points total.

Awakened
When a character awakens the Wraps of Rušilac, apply the following changes to the item’s traits:

  • Increase your bonus to attack and damage rolls to +2.

  • The Wraps of Rušilac now deal siege damage, dealing double damage to structures and constructs with regular attacks. When a charge is released, the total charge dice is doubled against structures and constructs.

  • As a bonus action, you can cast the spell Misty Step. If you are charging the Wraps of Rušilac when you use this feature, immediately after you disappear, you may release a nova of energy in your wake. All creatures within 5 feet of you must make a DC 15 dexterity save. Creatures in range take the full charged damage on a failed save, and half damage on a successful one. You cannot use this ability again until you score a critical hit with an unarmed strike, or you complete a long rest.

Exalted 
When the Wraps of Rušilac are exalted, apply the following changes to the item’s traits:

  • Increase your bonus to attack and damage rolls to +3.
  • When you hit with an unarmed strike, you can now unlock the full potential of your ki and make a Volley of Blows. Your eyes go white, and you are surrounded by swirling force energy. Immediately after you take the Attack action on your turn, you can spend 1 ki point to make an additional unarmed strike as long as you have ki points. After the final hit in this volley of blows, if the target has under 20 hit points, it must make a DC 17 constitution save. On a failed save the target goes Unconscious. You cannot use this ability again until you complete a long rest and you gain 1 level of Exhaustion .
