Weapon (greataxe), very rare (requires attunement by a paladin, fighter, or barbarian.)

This long-handled greataxe was once a javelin that pierced the chest of an ancient red dragon. The heat of the dragon's blood and heart partially melted the tip and fused it to the scales of the creature and when it was loosed it had transformed into an awestriking weapon resembling the dragon from which it fell. The blades were that of a dragon's wings and the top was decorated with the roaring head of a dragon. The handle and head are blisteringly hot to any who touch that are not attuned or attuning to it.

You have a +1 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon. This weapon has 6 charges and regains 1d4+2 charges each day at dawn when the sun crests the horizon. As long as the weapon has 1 charge left it deals an extra d6 fire damage to any target it hits. When you roll a 20 on an attack roll made with this weapon, the weapon surges with heat and regains 2 charges.

As an action, you can invoke the name of the dragon which it came from, Grigori, and spend 2 charges. When you do the axe alights in blood-red flames which drip like liquid fire from the edges making the fire damage it deals ignore both resistances and immunities as well as gain the thrown property. The range of the axe when activated this way is 60ft. and ignores cover and can attack creatures not within line of sight around corners and bends so long as the most direct, unblocked path to the target does not exceed the range of the axe and you are aware of the enemy. The axe continues to move past the target in a straight line until it reaches the end of its range though does not hit any other target on the path and remains there suspended in the air until a bonus action is used to recall it or until the beginning of the owner's next turn, in which it will return to the owner's hand even if the owner has moved further away from the axe during that time taking the most direct route to the owner's hand but not through any solid objects. While it is suspended in the air any creature capable of reaching it can attempt to make a DC13 strength check to grab it and use it as a weapon themselves, if they touch the weapon, regardless if they make the check, they take 1d4 fire damage. If it is held it will no longer automatically return to the owner's hand and a bonus action must be used to recall it forcing the current holder to make a DC 15 strength check to maintain its hold on it. Any holder that is not attuned to it takes 1d4 damage at the beginning of their turn while holding the axe.

Proficiency with a Greataxe allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.

This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.

Cleave. If you hit a creature with a melee attack roll using this weapon, you can make a melee attack roll with the weapon against a second creature within 5 feet of the first that is also within your reach. On a hit, the second creature takes the weapon’s damage, but don’t add your ability modifier to that damage unless that modifier is negative. You can make this extra attack only once per turn.
