This tome, along with anything written on its pages, can’t be damaged by fire or immersion in water. In addition, the tome doesn’t deteriorate with age.

When a creature touches the tome (providing that it is not currently bound to another creature) the tome attempts to sever previous connections of the creature and forge new connections with the tome itself. once a creature is bound to a creature it cannot be unbounded short of death a wish spell or intervention from a powerful entity (e.g. a warlock pact or the intervention of a diety. If the creature is willing the tome strips all current levels of the creature and replaces them evenly with levels of Barbarian. If the creature resists they must succeed on a dc 13 wisdom saving through if they fail the creature lowers their intelligence score by 2. whether of not the creature makes the saving through the tome takes half of the creature's current levels rounded down and converts them to barbarian levels. If the creature has no levels in any class then the creature must succeed three death-saving throws and remove 2 points from their constitution score. If they succeed in the saving throws then they gain one level of barbarian. If the creature has no connection to a giant bloodline it must succeed three death-saving throws and subtract 2 from its constitution score. If they succeed the character can choose whether or not they gain a level of barbarian in exchange for one of their current levels.

If a creature that is attuned to the tome dies there is a 20 percent chance that their soul is trapped in the tome and can telepathically communicate with any creature touching the tome regardless of language.

this item automatically attunes to an open attunement slot if there is no open attunement slot touching the tome has no effect on the creature.

once per long rest the creature bound to this tome can raise the strength score by +1 to a maximum of 20
