A leather bracer with a compact metal device mounted to the top.

To use the bracer the wearer would release a trigger on the bracer and send a small, pointed metal dart-like object that is securely fastened to a wire of sorts. When the metal piece makes contact, four metal prongs spring out and grip into what ever the dart made contact with. This bracer also allows the wearer to retract its wire with another mechanism, letting them pull themselves up a small distance. 

The wire itself is 10ft in length and gives the wearer an advantage to climbing checks. In addition, the bracer gives the wearer 10ft of climbing movement.
