Xerox is a magical tools vendor in Baator - as a brand they are famous for making hardy weapons to help combatants in the blood war.
To the bearer - this "staff" exists in two forms - one in which it appears as a wand, the other a quarterstaff. The quarterstaff form is achieved by speaking the word "XEROX" aloud. The staff will retract back to wand form at the will of the caster (this is a bonus action if in combat)
Seen as a breakthrough in marketing - Xerox has produced many lines of weapons that require the bearer to speak aloud the brand name to get full use.
When in Quarterstaff form, Xerox provides the following benefits:
- Acts as a +1 quarterstaff (damage and to hit)
- Provides +1 to hit for all other combat and casting
- +6 to all fire damage dealt while holding the quarterstaff
Proficiency with a Quarterstaff allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.
Topple. If you hit a creature with this weapon, you can force the creature to make a Constitution saving throw (DC 8 plus the ability modifier used to make the attack roll and your Proficiency Bonus). On a failed save, the creature has the Prone condition.
